5 tips to choose the right hat

Grosgrain choose the right hat

For some people, choosing the right hat is tricky.  Even overwhelming.  It depends on several factors, including the occasion, the weather, your personal style, and the shape of your face. Here are five tips to help you choose the right hat.

1, Consider the occasion:

Think about the event or occasion you're attending. If it's a formal event, you may want to choose a more classic and elegant hat, such as a fedora or a wide-brimmed hat. If it's a casual event, you can pick a more relaxed style casual hats like a small brimmed hat.

2,Think about the weather:

If you're going to be spending time outdoors, consider the weather. If it's sunny and hot, you may want a protection by a brimmed hat. (Our straw hats are 99.9% UV shielding rate! )  If it's cold and windy, you may want to choose a hat that covers your ears and keeps you warm, and also materials should be wool, fur or warm fabrics. Also it is good idea to have a hat with straps to avoid a flown hat.

3,Consider your personal style:

A hat can reflect your personal style and complements your wardrobe. If you have a gender neutral style, you may want to choose a fedora or a classical boater, unisex choices.  If you like feminine and elegant style, any curved brim hats to add soft lines would be your choice.

4,Take your face shape into account.

Think like this: You are balancing your face feature with the hat.  For example, if you have a round face, a hat with a wider brim tends to emphasize the width of the face.  Instead, choose the one rather have a higher crown such as a fedora or trilby.  If you have a long face, a hat with a wider brim can balance your features.

5, Try on different hats, and get used to it!

The best way to choose the right hat is to try on different styles and see what looks best on you. Don't be afraid to experiment with different styles and colours until you find the perfect hat.  However, keep in mind it takes a bit of time to get used to your look with a new hat.  If you try a new shape or colour, sometimes it doesn't look right straight away.  Searching the right angle and style in front of the mirror is crucial.  I believe from my own experiences, a hat person is not born to be.  It is made to be thing.  So, experiment with you.

I hope these tips help you to choose your next favourite hat.
